Sierra Madre Oriental

121. Mexico

A view from the roadside in the Sierra Madre Oriental. South of Ciudad Mante, Tamaulipas, and probably in the vicinity of Ciudad Valles, San Luis Potosi. If anyone has a more precise location, I'll take it. 1960

Teotihuacan

Cathedral of Mexico

123. Mexico

The Cathedral of Mexico City. Completed in 1813. Constructed "in a location formerly occupied by a pyramid built by Aztec Indians." That's what the booklet says. 1960

University Library - Mexico City

124. Mexico

The library on the main campus of the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Mexico City. That's quite a collage. 1971

Mexico City Statue

125. Mexico

An old soldier backdropped by a then-modern office building in Mexico City. If anyone has an identification, I'll take it. (I'd better have this within two days of posting.) 1971

En route to the beach on a threatening day in Acapulco, Guerrero. That's the Ritz Hotel on the left and the Maris on the right. Roger Maris (presumably no relation) was having an American League MVP year for the Yankees. Present-day reviews for both hotels are on the 'net. 1960

134. Mexico

Hotel courtyard with my brother, mother, and father in Saltillo, Coahuila. Backdropped by a fountain, rocking chairs, and a balcony. Received Christmas cards for several years from the hoteliers. Maybe I'll get one this year. 1960.
